Long Overdue Update

I finally got the my camera hooked back up to the computer and I have a few pictures to share from over my holidays :)

Genitta and my mom hosted a wonderful get together for the wedding party to make the wedding invitations...

I actually had a great time a few nights hanging out with Genitta... drinking and listening to music ")

I had to go to the dentist a few times which was quite painful!

And now I am back at work "(

I Cooked My Graphics Card

I guess I really cooked the graphics card on my computer. My friend Richard rebuilt my computer for me and he told me that when he took out my 64MB Nvidia graphics card that the fan on it was even melted... I guess all that Sims 2 was too much for it!

The computer kicks ass now... I reloaded a few programs last night and they are taking like 30% of the original time to reload. I have tons of memory as well and two hard drives now so I shouldn't have to loose all my info and reload my operating system for a while!

I started back at work yesterday as well and a new training group is just starting. They seem like a really good group so it should be a good couple of weeks.

I did not have my camera hooked up when the computer was away so I have many new pictures to share with everyone once I get that reloaded tonight :)

Keep The Drunk Up!

My friend Deanna sent me this link... check it out it's kind of fun!

Try this and see how far you can keep this drunk man up.....
Good Luck! You just move your mouse left to right
(no clicking) to keep him walking in a straight line.

The object of the game is to keep him walking, without falling over,
by using your mouse from left to right or right to left -
you can't see your mouse which makes it more difficult.

Apparently the record is 82 meters! And it's in German

A Quiz Game

I came across this CANADIAN QUIZ GAME... and thought it was cute enough to share :)

My Computer Is Gone!

So my new motherboard didn't like my old floppy drive and Richard took it back with him to Victoria until April 25th! He is going to get it fixed up and running.

He is getting me a new black box for it and he is also going to buy me Windows XP and upgrade it for me to it is all good but I am sure going to miss it :<

When I get it back it is going to kick ass... he already upgraded my motherboard from an AMD Athelon card to the new Pentium 4 (2.66gig) processor. He put in an additional hard drive bringing me up to 80gig, he is sticking in a 256 graphic card with dual monitor capabilities and I have 512 ram so I really should be good to go for awhile.

I am using Chris' old one to get on the internet and for email but it means no games for a few weeks... oh well... at least I'll be able to get everything else done...

Holidays Are Good

I am on holidays since Sunday and it is nice. I have been trying to spring clean the last few days and get rid of a bunch of junk that I don't need or don't want anymore.

I have ALOT of stuff... this includes tons and tons of cables and adapters that I am not sure I will ever use again. I also have my old camcorder that isn't exactly working but I can't seem to throw it away... yet why keep it when I know I will probably never get it fixed!

Richard came by today to fix my computer but he ran out of time so he is going to come back tomorrow. Luckily Richard bought my friend Chris' old computer for $50 before she left. He didn't grab this computer yet so I have it to hook up to the internet with tonight (thank goodness!).

That's about it. I'm trying to figure out what I want to do or where I want to go for the rest of my holidays still. I think I will at least go out and visit Kelly and everyone while I am off for a few weeks.

Getting Blog Lazy

I've been pretty lazy with the blog lately... I have had a few things going on but I haven't been able to put all of it on the blog for all the world to read. It's really nothing major just a few opportunities that have come up.

I have taken some holidays from April 11th to the 22nd and am looking forward to a bit of time off to clean up the house... like REALLY spring clean, and get reorganized in life. I also picked up a few phone room shifts for extra cash during that time so I won't be totally away from work. So this week has been pretty busy getting ready to go on holidays, wrapping up the paperwork from my last training group and getting the recruitment started for the training that will begin the day I get back.

I also was on a training course this week at Volunteer Calgary from Tuesday to Thursday. It was a really good course and nice to get away from the office. I met a whole bunch of other people in the community who are training and recruiting groups of volunteers as well.

That's about it for me... hopefully something really exciting will happen this week so I can write all about it :)

The Pope Has Passed

Pope John Paul II passed away today... he is the only pope I remember having in my lifetime. I think the most powerful photo I have ever seen is the one that I found on the internet the day the Iraq War began... I used it in my flash film that you can see HERE.

Yes I'm A Fool

Kyle got me at work today! (for the background story see here)

He told me he was heading over to Staples to get "Photo Paper" and then called me a few minutes later to tell me to get my ass down to Staples. He said that the police were there with a bunch of tow trucks and they were towing all the cars away.

The funniest thing was that as I walked to my office to get my keys I told our practicum student Serena where I was going and she yelled "oh shit" and grabbed her keys and then my office mate Jess did the same thing and all three of us headed out towards Staples.

Kyle was hiding downstairs and came out laughing and said "April Fool's"... it was a good one... very possible that I was being towed. Kyle also got Nav and probably a few other people. I think it's his favorite day of the year!
